The National Weather Service at San Angelo has issued a heat advisory for the Concho Valley. It's in effect until 8 o'clock tonight. Strong high pressure aloft will continue to produce very hot temperatures. The temperatures will combine with afternoon humidities to produce heat index values in the 105 to 108 degree range. At these values, the potential for dangerous heat-related illnesses will increase.
