San Angelo police wound up in a brief chase Tuesday morning after responding to a report of a family violence assault in the 100 block of East Avenue L. Officers got a description of a suspect and his vehicle, a maroon 2000 Daewoo, and then saw him flee the location. He failed to comply with police orders to pull over, instead heading north on South Oakes Street, running the red light at East Harris Avenue and crashing into a car traveling east on Harris. No one was injured. The suspect was finally caught after leaving his vehicle on College Street and attempting to escape on foot. 27-year-old Michael Rosales was arrested and faces a number of charges.
