Twin Buttes pumping

Workers began the process of pumping water out of the south pool at Twin Buttes Reservoir Wednesday. About five-thousand acre feet of water is being transferred into the main pool at Twin Buttes so it can flow into Lake Nasworthy to keep the water level from dropping. According to city officials, we're in the peak time of year for usage of San Angelo water sources. The city is at drought stage two, but could go to stage three if San Angelo drops below a one-year water supply.
