Afternoon sports headlines

The Colts' 14-game home winning streak is no more after a 15-12 loss last night to McAllen. The Colts and Thunder go at it again tonight--game time 7:05.

The Texas Rangers lost 9-8 in Anaheim last night to snap the league-leading 12-game winning streak. The Rangers were done in by a six run 6th for the Angels. The two teams are in a matinee this afternoon.

For the first time in over a month, the Astros have won two games in a row. At Houston, the Stros got a 3-2 win over the Nationals. Houston is off tonight. .

You may remember hearing Grant McCasland was named the new head coach at Abilene Christian. Well, he's resigned from Abilene Christian without ever coaching a game for the Wildcats. McCasland will be one of the top assistants now at Baylor where he also played. Abilene Christian hasn't wasted any time naming a replacement for McCasland. They've hired former ACU assistant Joe Golding.
