San Angelo City Council Meeting Highlights

The San Angelo City Council went behind closed doors to discuss what they referred to as an offer of financial or other incentive to a company of companies with whom the city is in economic development negotiations. The executive session was about a company the city wants locate, stay or expand in San Angelo.
Before breaking into executive session, City Council members approved over 39-thousand dollars for the development of a Parks and Recreation Master Plan and a Recreation Use Plan for the Twin Buttes Reservoir area.
The City Council also voted unanimously to award a two point seven five million dollar bid Mega Contractors, Inc. to renovate the municipal swimming pool. It’s been closed this summer, but the Council has been keen to have it back in use for residents. The Fort Worth company bid to handle the project for 184-thousand dollars. It’s funded by half-cent sales tax revenue.
