In Scurry County, a Snyder Police officer was shot in the head and is in critical condition, today. The man who shot him is dead. 41 year old Corporal Darrell Campbell and his partner, Officer Lee Ortiz, were responding to a call of shots fired. While investigating, a subject pulled out a gun and shot Campbell and attempted to shoot Ortiz. The suspect was killed. Campbell is at UMC in Lubbock.
