Without water, grass will die. That's an issue for many homeowners during this time of drought but it's a real concern for golf course operators. Now, the owners of Quicksand Golf Course say they may be only three weeks away from having to close down completely unless it rains hard -- or they get help from the city. Quicksand's owners have water rights to the Concho River but drought conditions have put the squeeze on how much they're being allowed to use. An appeal to use untreated water is in limbo after last week's tie vote in the San Angelo City Council. The matter will be taken up again this week.
