Spay and Neuter Grant Funds

Next time you see a vehicle with one of those Animal Friendly plates, give it a honk. Those plates helped produce the nearly 39-thousand dollars in grant money will help reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in Tom Green County. The county Humane Society says over nine thousand dogs and cats are put down every year locally, a number that could be significantly reduced by spaying or neutering animals. The grant money will go toward expansion of spay-and-neuter efforts here beginning September first.
