New Blaze In West Texas

Another new wildfire in West Texas. The Forest Service says it's working on a fire in Jeff Davis County now. There's another one on Hall County up in the Panhandle, too. The state's six largest fires have now burned nearly thirteen-thousand acres. High wind and continuing triple-digit temperatures throughout almost all of Texas continue to fan the flames. The blaze in Jeff Davis County is near Williams. Heavy air tankers from Abilene and Alamagordo have been called in because the fire is burning in a remote area with steep, rugged terrain and limited access or water. That blaze now reported over 75-percent contained.
