San Angelo Water Rate Increase Looming

The San Angelo City Council says it’s time to start paying for the Hickory Aquifer. Council members have given direction to city finance staff to work up a water rate increase that will fund the six point nine million dollars annual debt service payment on the 120 million dollar loan for the project. Initial estimates are that the average water bill for a resident will increase by about 14 dollars and 75 cents per month.
