Warren Jeffs Trial Continues with No Defense Attorneys

The jury in the Warren Jeffs trial was sworn at about 12:40 today. After a lunch break, the next phase of the trial began. This morning, Jeffs asked Judge Barbara Walther if he could fire his lawyers and represent himself. He’s had at least seven attorneys, so far. The judge said he could, but he could have no more time to prepare motions. Jeffs is accused of two counts of sexual assault of a child. Judge Walther ruled that evidence from his 2006 arrest in Nevada is admissible.
