Sexual Harassment Case Against SAPD Officer to Arbitration

A San Angelo Police Officer went before an arbitrator on charges of sexual harassment, yesterday. There were four witnesses, including Nora Gonzales, who is a records clerk with the department. She filed a complaint against Officer James Johnson, saying he hugged her and tried to kiss her, without her consent. At that time, the department's peer review committee recommended a two week suspension, which was upheld by Police Chief Tim Vasquez, who signed the order for a suspension with no pay.
