Tom Green County workers may get a pay bump. County Commissioners are going to publish an ad proposing a two point five percent pay increase for all county employees, plus longevity pay, and an increase for justices of the peace in precincts 1 and 2. Their increase is listed as a partial five percent, because the fiscal years overlap. Ten days after the ad runs in the newspaper, the Commissioners can vote on the raise. The pay raise is covered by the county using a less expensive health care option.
